First Seminar of Aero-Fluid Dynamics Group

Aero-Fluid Dynamics Group is an organization orginated by two graduate students in Department of Fluid Mechanics (Guiyu Cao and me), which aims to discuss some interesting problems of fluid dynamics or aerodynamics, and enable different excellent students in the department to learn from each other. Currently, this group is a small group including only 5 students.

The first seminar of our group is held in May 7, 2016, with the topic of Unsteady Fluid/Aerodynamic Reduced-Order Models. I gave a 2-hour presentation about current development and strategies about this area. We had a very nice time in this talk, and we also came up with some new perspectives on this area, such as the utilization of manifold learning in the future.

As our members become busy or go to other university, we haven't held the second seminar since the first one. But this practice is proven to be successful and we enjoy such experience!
